When my son called from college to say he needed a laptop repair job, I freaked. He could not leave school and I was working. One phone call and Geeks Mobile to the rescue. They sent a really nice guy to his apartment that afternoon who got the laptop working and showed my kid how to avoid such a crisis again. We really recommend this company.
My experience with this company was the best. How many computer repair companies take the time on the phone to find out what your problem is before ordering parts and then sending out a technician? I now have the right parts at a good price and the nice technician took the time to make sure the problem was solved before leaving. If I ever have another problem, I will certainly call them again.

Elusive capacity of networks: Calculating data network's total capacity notoriously difficult, but theorists making some headwayIn its early years, information theory was dominated by research on error-correcting codes: How do you encode information so as to guarantee its faithful transmission, even in the presence of the corrupting influences engineers call "noise"? Recently, one of the most intriguing developments in information theory has been a different kind of coding, called network coding, in which the question is how to encode information in order to maximize the capacity of a network as a whole. For information theorists, it was natural to ask how these two types of coding might be combined: If you want to both minimize error and maximize capacity, which kind of coding do you apply where, and when do you do the decoding?
A 100-gigabit highway for science: Researchers take a 'test drive' on ANI testbedClimate researchers are producing some of the fastest growing datasets in science. Five years ago, the amount of information generated for the Nobel Prize-winning United Nations International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report was 35 terabytes —- equivalent to the amount of text in 35 million books, occupying a bookshelf 248 miles (399 km) long. By 2014, when the next IPCC report is published, experts predict that 2 petabytes of data will have been generated for it—that's a 580 percent increase in data production. Because thousands of researchers around the world contribute to the generation and analysis of new data, a reliable, high-speed network is needed to transport the torrent of information. Fortunately, the Department of Energy's (DOE) ESnet (Energy Sciences Network) has laid the foundation for such a network -- not just for climate research, but for all data-intensive science.
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. - Benjamin Franklin
How rare it is that maintaining someone else’s code is akin to entering a beautifully designed building, which you admire as you walk around and plan how to add a wing or do some redecorating. More often, maintaining someone else’s code is like being thrown headlong into a big pile of slimy, smelly garbage. - Bill Venners
